Our 1st Birthday

■  In October 2008 we celebrated our first birthday with an entertaining visit from the Rye Town Crier followed by a small celebration and a slice of birthday cake.

■  The then President Heather Hyrapiet and Treasurer Beryl Lloyd-Jones both made scrumptious fruit cakes, and Heather decorated them both beautifully in pale green icing with a wonderful, edible, spray of lilies made of icing with tinted pink stripes.

Our Fashion Show

■  In September 2008 we hosted a Fashion Show “On the Catwalk” presented by Anna Seymour from the Eastex and Alex & Co. departments in Debenhams in Eastbourne, with clothes modelled by our members. There was a good selection of garments – Day Time – Casual – and Special Occasion.

■  The show was attended by about 120 members, guests and visitors. The Harbour WI “Models” did a wonderful job as you will see from the photographs below.

■  The ladies of the Harbour WI would like to thank Liz Beuzeval for all the time and effort she put into this successful show.
