Sovereign Harbour Veterans Football
If you are over 40 and still have an interest in playing friendly football matches on Sunday mornings, with people similar to yourself, read on.
Harbour resident Frank Milmoe, has set up a Sovereign Harbour 'veterans' (40 plus) football team to play friendly matches on Sunday mornings. More players are always welcome.
The group meets every Sunday morning for a 'kickabout' and five-a-side matches between themselves either on the Astro-turf facilities at Sussex Downs College during the summer, and indoors at Moira House Sports Hall, Meads, during the winter. Subs are £3 a week.
This great 'group of lads' all enjoy the football, and it is a great opportunity to meet new people and to socialise.
If you are interested, but are unable to commit to turning up regularly, that's not a problem. You can play as much, or as little, as you want. The objective is to have fun; the added bonus is a bit of healthy exercise and a social gathering.
We have also played some friendly matches against other local teams and competed in the Kingsmere Six-a-Side Tournament.
We also arrange a few social events for players/wives/partners and an annual Christmas Party .
