Eastbourne Sea Cadets

The Eastbourne Sea Cadet Unit 117, which caters for local boys and girls in the 13 to 18 age group, holds two parades each week at it's Headquarters in Royal Parade.
The unit, contrary to popular belief, is a charitable organisation, and not funded by the armed forces.

The members of the unit are involved in a whole host of activities, from boat handling skills, to competitions with other Units all over the U.K.

The existing HQ was buit by voluntary subscription in 1966 and, unfortunately, is now in need of refurbishment and re-equiping. A number of fund raising activities are in progress and civilian instructor, Barry Eliston will be competing in the London Marathon in support of the project. See below for other fund raising activities.

For more information, or to sponsor Barry's London Marathon run, please contact Toby Snow at home on 01323-767858 or at his office on 01323-413762 or e-mail Toby
